Grants

Have an innovative idea that would enrich the educational experience at MSAD 51? We offer two opportunities per school year to apply for grants. See below to see if your idea fits our guidelines.

Guiding Principles

Foundation 51 seeks grant proposals that support any or all of the following:

  • Innovative teaching techniques and methods
  • Programs that support the curriculum, while enriching intellectual growth
  • Pilot programs that explore new and imaginative curricular ideas and teaching methods
  • Projects that explore an interest or passion, that will enhance the student experience and encourage social responsibility
  • Strategic partnerships that support the design and delivery of programs, with other teachers, administrators, community members, local businesses, and additional funding sources
  • Projects that have the potential to be self – sustaining
  • Projects must be intended for use by students in one or all of the schools in MSAD 51
  • Projects may be submitted by students, teachers, and community members 

Funding is not intended to cover:

  • Core educational programs and services
  • Standard budget items
  • Building infrastructure & maintenance, furniture, or fixtures
  • Educator’s certificates or degrees
  • Administrative fees, salaries, or indirect costs
  • Staff travel
