Guiding Principles
Foundation 51 seeks grant proposals that support any or all of the following:
- Innovative teaching techniques and methods
- Programs that support the curriculum, while enriching intellectual growth
- Pilot programs that explore new and imaginative curricular ideas and teaching methods
- Projects that explore an interest or passion, that will enhance the student experience and encourage social responsibility
- Strategic partnerships that support the design and delivery of programs, with other teachers, administrators, community members, local businesses, and additional funding sources
- Projects that have the potential to be self – sustaining
- Projects must be intended for use by students in one or all of the schools in MSAD 51
- Projects may be submitted by students, teachers, and community members
Funding is not intended to cover:
- Core educational programs and services
- Standard budget items
- Building infrastructure & maintenance, furniture, or fixtures
- Educator’s certificates or degrees
- Administrative fees, salaries, or indirect costs
- Staff travel
